Good Good Friday hike
Neil and I went for a hike on Good Friday to Kuataika trig. And Good it was!
We started our hike from the end of Long Road. and followed the track. We then took the turn off onto Smythe Ridge track. It is a long gravel track with an almost constant incline. On our way were clearing the track from fallen branches.

We were hoping to get some views on our way, because it was rather boring. But the weather was good. So were our spirits, and we kept following the route, until we found the Kuataika trig. And YES we had some stunning views.

Neil wanted to have an even better view.
We had our well-deserved lunch here while overlooking the Waitakere ranges.
After we finished our lunch and bit of rest, we decided to go back the same way.

We got back at the carpark around 2 pm and had a coffee and tea.
Neil thought that was not enough for one day. So, he suggested that we would go Bethell's beach. It was very busy at the beach, as expected on a day off (Good Friday). We walked over to O'Neill Bay and found that there were not many people around. So, the clothes went off again 😀.

It was the perfect day. I think we did about 17km in total. Very tired but satisfied with our achievements.

Wow looks like ana amazing day!
