Hauraki Naturally
INSPIRING FREEDOM

The "Naked Truth" in the wild: Standing on the vast Whatipu wetlands, West Auckland—where the mission for Hauraki Naturally truly begins.

A quick word from Rok - Founder of Hauraki Naturally.
Cheers for dropping by the first-ever edition of The Naked Truth.
When I first got Hauraki Naturally off the ground, the idea was dead simple: let’s just get back to basics. We wanted to make being gear-free in the great New Zealand outdoors feel like no big deal—because, honestly, it shouldn't be. We’ve always been an "internet collective," but as we’ve grown, it felt like high time we had a proper spot to share our stories, our wins, and the odd hurdle we jump over along the way.
Why "The Naked Truth"?
We went with this name because, let’s be fair, for too long our story has been told by folk who don't really "get it." They see shame or something "extra" where there’s just a human being enjoying the fresh air.
The Naked Truth is about stripping all that nonsense away. It’s about being upfront and honest. It’s about that "natural and moral state" we’re always on about when we’re out on a forest track or a cycle trail. Think of this page as the official pulse of our lot—a real-time look at the movement in action.
What’s on the Cards?
This isn't just some boring noticeboard; it’s a bit of a diary of our mission to shake things up. On this page, we’ll be covering:
Field Reports: Wrap-ups of our social meets, from quiet bush walks to the high-energy World Naked Bike Rides.
Advocacy & Rights: Keeping you in the loop on the legal side of things, council chats, and the "My Body - My Choice" philosophy.
Community Voice: Shouting about the mental and physical health perks of a clothing-optional lifestyle.
A Movement for the Commons
Unlike the old-school "landed" clubs, Hauraki Naturally is for everyone—the beaches, the trails, and the open air. By keeping a record of us being out there, we’re proving that being naked isn't some "special event"; it’s just a natural part of being a Kiwi.
So, keep an eye on this space. Whether you’ve been a naturist for donkey's years or you're just starting to wonder why we all feel so bashful about our skin, you’ll find the straight up truth right here.
Strip away the shame. Get amongst it.
