Waihi Beach Local

Hi all, I may have met some of you already at Katikati Naturist Park, but if not, warm salutations to you all. A little about myself...my family had naturist inclinations when we were growing up, Mum and Dad sunbathed topless/nude, family spa's on holiday were taken nude, we made huts on the farm and played in them nude, fun :)

My Mum became a Christian when I was about 7-8 years old and she took us to Sunday school etc, and I followed in her footsteps in my mid teens and have never looked back, love the Lord, love His ways. I married my high school sweetheart, we had 6 kids, they grew up and we moved to the beach, all with me oblivious to the naturism lifestyle. Two interesting things happened about here; first, a Christian friend pointed out the loal clothing optional beach carpark and told me about his skinny-dipping habit, and secondly, my wife pointed out the local naturist resort (KNP) as we drove past. I was intrigued enough to stop at KNP one day and ended up chatting to Aimee, one of the proprietors at the time. She wandered into reception absolutely butt naked and she became the 3rd women after my Mum and my wife that I had seen naked in the flesh. I was almost lost for words, but the meeting introduced me to naturism, enjoying being naked in nature with others. I obviously had a journey with understanding God's take on this, but as anyone who has gone back to the Bible with questions about nudity has found, you find that God invented it, turned His brand new "good" world into a "very good" world by adding 2 naked people. Convincing my wife was a different story, but she has shown grace even though it's not her thing.

Katikati Naturist Park was a fun place to hang out and be initiated into the clan. It took a while, but I made some friends and even ended up helping run it. Sitting in the office there was an education, and unfortunately, as the way has been for others who worked there, I ended up having to move on. This has been good though, I now make the beach my happy naked place even riding my big floaty surfboard down at carpark 34 "hawaiian style"-naked as! We have a few local spots where I can lose the clothes- the water hole up the top of Woodlands Road, and Opoutere Beach, and our own beautiful bit of sand. Maybe sometime soon I might get to some of the clubs, I'm keen to try BOP Sun Club at Matata, and have heard good things about Rotota Club as well. Looking forward to meeting you out there at some stage :)

Hi Gary,

I’d love to hear more about your journey with naturism as a Christian.
