Thermal pool tactics
I read about a group of naturists from the UK touring NZ, they went to a lot of more remote natural creeks and hot pools around the country. If they got to a swimming place and there were one or two people or groups already there, instead of thinkig we need to wear togs here, they would simply ask them if they minded if they went nude. Everyone asked was ok with it, no negitive reactions at all. I thought what a tremendously simple, logical, honest, straight forward way of dealing with unknown reactions people may have. I thought I would use this method if the situation arises.
Went for a skinny dip at the Otumuheke Stream or Spa Park Hot Pools Taupo last Sunday. Arrived early at 8.30am and only 3 other people there. A couple with a daughter about 5yrs old. They were in a pool with togs on just by the foot bridge so I thought I would be straight up, so I said, Hello is it ok with you if I go nude. They were a bit surprised understandably, he let out a little giggle, and said nothing, and she looked up at me for a second or 2 and said, yeah that should be OK. So I went down the creek abit and was largly out of sight but no problem. Just so simple and logical realy, if you dont know ask! Water was a bit on the cool side. A few other people arrived after a while. Great little spot, toilets and coffee shop even. Couple of 100 metres walk from the carpark.

Hi, good PR to ask, good [ public relations ]. I do the same and have had several instances at small tiny beaches along Shelly Bay rd in Wellington. Never an issue. Also the beach around the point north of Breaker Bay. Larger beaches no need unless its crowded and you are cheek to cheek [ excuse the pun ].
