Another bush hike and a first time experience.
Hi all, I had a wonderful bush walk yesterday in the Kaimais near Waiorongomai, please see pics below.
I have a small confession, I've been nude hiking before but when hiking alone I have always either covered up or hidden when I hear others ahead. So I have never met any clothed walkers while nude.
I don't seek confrontation and feel nude hiking as a group is more likely to be well respected.
However yesterday I was walking and heard voices ahead and I thought "na, I'm not doing anything wrong or illegal and I'm 53yrs old and proud of who I am as a nudist"
A mid 20s couple were coming the other way. Kiwi guy and Asian girlfriend. I called out "apologies, I'm free hiking today"
His response was "that's all good, I was thinking about doing the same heading up this morning"
I said, "it's great, no chafing, no wedgies, no sweaty clothes"
We wished each other a great rest of the day and moved past each other.
No problem, no stress and no adverse comments.
So thank you to that mystery couple, and I've gained a bit more confidence.

It took me a while to not have that reaction of I must cover up. It seems to be out in the forest people just accept without judgement.
