What would you want in a naturist club?

Hi all. Naturism is a freedom that should be available to all - just like you see in all other creatures great and small. You were born naked and leave this earth naked. Even the Bible states at the beginning of the human race Adam and Eve were naked as God intended. And they were not ashamed.

Are you interested in being a part of a naturist club? What would that look like for you? And what input would you like to have in it? Would you support it with time and labour, or prefer pay as you go, be part of a club that mixes membership with part payment part labour? Prefer a naturist activist group that plans and has visible activity in general public areas? Do you see the need for ratio setting of male vs. female?

Wendy and I belong to a naturist club in the Waikato called WOS. We greatly appreciate it. Have you ever tried to join a club and couldn't? What needs to happen so you can? Do you even want to?

Thanks, Shane. Yes, the concept totally works, I'm convinced of that.

I don't buy into the argument that some naturists hold that it makes them "uncomfortable" to be naked when clothed people are present. Clothing, or lack of clothing, is for comfort, and it should be every individual's right to decide for themselves just how many layers of clothing, if any, they choose to wear. If you're confident enough in your own skin to be naked in the presence of other people, it shouldn't matter in the least what those other people happen to be wearing or not wearing.

And, yes, I've heard the argument about lack of restrictions on public beaches. The fact is, illegal activity is illegal activity, whether people are clothed or not. Having sex on a public beach where others can see you is just as illegal on Pohutukawa Beach as it is on Mission Bay.
