That was a quick convert !!

When the weather is good my wife and I try to get to Peka Peka beach for a walk & dip in the sea. Today was no exception. We usually strip off as soon as we get to the beach and head to a prominent pink painted stump about 2km toward Te Horo. We often pass both clothed and bare beachgoers, and out of respect will keep a reasonable distance from the textiles. Today we were half way on the return journey splashing ankle deep in the surf to avoid a person coming the other way when he started calling to us. So I ambled over to realise he was asking "is it ok to be naked on this beach?" I immediately said yes if you're not being indecent. I continued to tell him it's not against the law to be naked anywhere and that Peka Peka had a history of being clothes optional since the 1970's. As we were talking to him, he quite energetically started stripping. He had no shyness in getting bare immediately upon finding out that it was allowed. We left him to go on his way; a happy convert.
