So I've been thinking about ways to address the age-old problem in Naturist groups of gender imbalance and how to encourage more womenfolk to be involved in both the website and social occasions.

I was chatting with Colin Basire a few days ago. Col is the partner of Glenne Findon who runs the Bay of Plenty Naturists group. He strongly believes that the excellent gender balance achieved by the BoP group is due to the fact that Glenne, their administrator, is a woman. She understands the issues faced by women naturists - especially singles - and presents an environment that women perceive as safer and more comfortable.

Taking that advice on board, I'm thinking about looking for a volunteer female co-administrator for Hauraki Naturally. I realise it's illegal to advertise for a female only to fill a position - even a voluntary one - but I'd welcome any ideas and thoughts on this matter.

The person would need to be computer-literate, be an experienced naturist with a good understanding of the naturist philosophy, be willing and able to encourage women to take part in the website and naturism in general, and be within easy travelling distance of us here on the Hauraki Plains.

So - if you know of anyone able and willing to help, or if you have any other ideas or comments, please let me know.
