HEADS UP........ RECENT ARREST
I see a recent arrest for nudity at Mission Bay beach in Auckland. Male bathing nude then walking around and ogling females on the beach. Occurred November 14,2022. Neighbors called police. Case given to the Auckland District Court. Arrest was for Obscene Exposure.

The results and or reaction by the court will make important precedent going forward.
i.e. very public beach; nude confrontational and or threatening behavior perceived or otherwise and strong reaction from beach users.
Disorderly conduct would have also been an appropriate charge to consider depending on what else he may have been doing [ not just walking and oggling ].
Hopefully the judge can discern the activity without giving a blanket decision that will deter / limit any future nudity that affects genuine naturists.
When moral value issues either macro or micro [ neighborhood based ] arise the public at large will strive to change what they can despite any local or statute laws to restore there version of decency. So far naturists have been fortunate with mostly favorable decisions versus public complaint.
