I've been made aware that an incident occurred during one of the Naturist Days at Parakai Springs some time in the last couple of months, where a Freebeaches member arrived there and encountered a number of men (at least three or more) engaged in mutual sex acts in and around the rock pool.

When the Freebeaches member confronted the offenders and went to report the matter to the manager, two of the men left straight away. The third, who was identified (but not a member of any naturist group that we're aware of) stayed around and argued with the Freebeaches member, saying that it was "normal" there, and that he was "only jealous". A staff member then came and told the man to leave and not to visit Parakai again. I now have his name and photo on record, in case he tries to join our group.

As we all know, this kind of behaviour is reprehensible in a public area and is not tolerated by Hauraki Naturally nor any other reputable naturist group. Apart from the fact it is totally inappropriate, it threatens the continuation of the naturist days at Parakai. There used to be a monthly naturist evening across the road at Palm Springs pools, and that was shut down by the new owners because of the infiltration of the gay "Sun Boys" group. We don't want that to happen at Parakai !!

Once again - if you witness any lewd behaviour at Parakai - or any other public place for that matter - don't be afraid to confront the offenders and get them removed. Parakai management and staff are happy for us to report such incidents to them.
