NEW ZEALAND CASE LAW
Hey everyone!
I just want to let you know that I've compiled a new resource that will prove useful for anyone unfortunate to be arrested by an over-zealous cop for being naked in public.
New Zealand is a Common Law country, meaning that judicial decisions are based on both statutory law and case law, which is built up from precedents set by previous court hearings. Judges must take into account these precedents when arriving at decisions on new cases. This compilation lists well-known cases involving public nudity, with a summary and a downloadable PDF file of the original court document for each case. There's a lot of reading if you choose to study the court documents, but the summaries will provide a good overview of each one.
If you do find yourself in a bit of hot water with the law, this will prove an excellent resource for you to work on with your lawyer. The compilation of Case Law is added as a link at the bottom of the Law page, or go directly to it HERE.

I will now have a good read, rather than a casual read ; this may assist me in a current situation with the Police . . . . . . a ' communication ' to Police from a neighbour, because they saw me nude inside my residence.
I am having to make an OIA request, which they will respond to in approximately 4 weeks ! ! !
