Exploratory Hike
The day after the World Naked Bike Ride in November, we went on a forest hike up the Waitawheta River valley, which was a great experience, especially for thos who hadn't been on a naked hike before.
We'll be doing another hike after the March 2023 bike ride, and I'm looking at a couple of options - also reasonably close to Waihi Beach. I prefer to take hikers on a track that I've personally done myself, at least once before, so I'm planning to recce the Waitengaue Track right to the swimming hole where it meets the North South Track. I've only done this track before as far as the first river crossing, so the rest is an unknown. I want to find out what level of fitness it needs and how long it takes.
So, if anyone is keen to do this track with me some time in January, please let me know what dates you'd be available.
