Greetings, Naked Cyclists!
It's just two weeks until the big event at Waihi Beach - our 5th Annual World Naked Bike Ride!
If you want to ride with us but have still to register, please do so as soon as poss! Don't miss out - this is a really fun event with some worthwhile aims. How often do you get to ride through town with no clothes on? This is your chance!
After the ride finishes back at the Waihi Beach Hotel, we enjoy a naked social time over lunch - pizza and fries (just buy your own drinks) - in the Hotel Garden Bar.
After lunch some may wish to gather for a swim at Beach Access 34. It's the 3rd carpark access from the start of the sand dunes on the way to Bowentown.

After the bike ride, in the evening is our Naked Rave - "Guilty Pleasures".hosted for us by Katikati Naturist Park.
Boogie the night away to all those crazy dance hits you secretly love, but would never admit to even your closest friends! Nah - they're really not that bad! We get together over dinner at 6 pm then kick off the music for an evening of totally letting your hair down - yes! - even those with no hair! This was an extremely popular event that we ran at the last three Kiwiburns, so don't miss out!
NOTE: You need to book to stay the night at KNP to be able to attend.

Pukorokoro Seabird Coast
Continuing on our World Naked Bike Ride theme of "care for the environment", our naked hike this year will be a pleasant walk up the Pukorokoro Seabird Coast for our well overdue coastal clean-up.
Every 6 weeks or so we get a few of us to walk this stretch of coastline, armed with rubbish sacks, collecting washed up litter that can prove fatal to the migrating shorebirds that nest and feed in this internationally important area. Mussel farm rope, nylon fishing line, netting, beer 6-pack rings, and other plastic waste are the biggest threat.
We'll be meeting at the Southern end of Ray's Rest Freedom Camping area at 10:00 a.m. There's a short walk south along the Hauraki Rail Trail to reach the track to the coastline, then about 50 minutes walk to the end of the spit. We'll stop there for lunch and a swim (high tide is 10:30) and collect rubbish on the way back.
Bring footwear that you don't mind getting wet, your lunch and drink. This is a flat, easy stroll.

Any questions? Don't hesitate to ask!
Register for the ride and we'll see you there!

We could still do with at least one more spare bike if anyone has one available and can bring it along. Please let me know if you can help. Cheers!
