POLAR PLUNGE 2023
Our annual Polar Plunge this year is on Saturday, 24 June - the closest Saturday to the Winter Solstice (June 22nd) - when we celebrate the shortest day and the return to summer.
Our local venue will be Rays Rest, just south of Kaiaua on the Pūkorokoro Miranda Shorebird Coast. We'll meet at 11:30 a.m. (right on high tide), have our dip, take some pics just for the record, and then head across to Kaiaua fisheries for some fish 'n chips for lunch. Comment below if you plan to come along.

Gumboot Friday - an initiative by the I Am Hope Foundation - provides free counselling for young people suffering anxiety, depression, abuse, and a host of other issues affecting their mental health and well-being. All money is paid directly to Gumboot Friday, via our Give-a-little page.
If you can't attend the event, you can still support the cause with a donation. Just click the link below. We know times are tough, but even the smallest donation is a help and greatly appreciated.
And remember - if you're not comfortable skinny-dipping, you are welcome to wear something. That's your choice!
