OROKAWA / HOMUNGA BAY HIKE
Don't forget our hike this coming Saturday, Oct 12th
Meet from 9:15 a.m. at the car park at the northern-most end of The Esplanade, Waihi Beach. We'll head out at 9:30.
Some may choose to go as far as Orokawa Bay - others can carry on to Homunga for a longer hike. We'll sort that out on the day.
As usual, this is a clothing-optional event. You choose how much or how little to wear. There are no expectations. But do wear reasonable footwear for walking.
Bring your lunch, water bottle, and a towel - hopefully it will be a great day for swimming, as well as a great catch-up with everyone! If the weather forecast is looking crap, I'll let everyone know on Friday if we need to postpone.

Huge thanks to all those who came along on the hike today! We had 12 hikers all up, with 6 of us going the full way to Homunga.
We couldn't have wished for better spring weather - well, maybe apart from the chilly winds to start off. But once in the shelter of the bush and hills it was less of an issue.
My apologies for having to crack up the pace on the way back and leave the group behind. I needed to be back at the carpark by 3 p.m. for farm work commitments. I trust you all had a pleasant day all the same.
