Te Henga Walkway, Bethells Beach
Sorry for such last-minute notice, but if anyone would like to join us for a hike along the Te Henga walkway, Bethells Beach, we're meeting at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday 8th June) at the carpark nearest the beach where the little cafe is.
It's not a particularly long or difficult walk, but a few steep bits, so reasonable fitness required. There are some awesome views to enjoy! Bring some lunch and it looks like a great day!

Yes, as Neil said, it was a fantastic sunny day for a coastal hike, from Bethells carpark, North over to O'Neils and up to meet the Te Henga Walkway. Sad to see so much slip damage from the cyclone - there is a lot of restoration work to the track required. The track is officially closed at the moment - obviously to protect DoC from legal claims in the event of personal injury. But some spectacular views to be enjoyed all the same.
