A REMINDER! World Naked Hiking Day

So in previous years we celebrated Winter Solstice with a charity fundraising Polar Plunge. However, it seems that enthusiasm for that event has fallen off. So instead we're taking advantage of WORLD NAKED HIKING DAY - also set down for Winter Solstice, 21st June. We're planning a choice of two hikes:

The first, led by Matt Turner - a challenging 18 Km hike in the Kaimai Ranges, starting at 8:30 a.m. from Waiorongomai (near Te Aroha).

The other, led by me, a shorter and less steep 11 Km hike in the Eastern Hunua Ranges, from 10:30 a.m. at Waharau Regional Park,

If you're keen to come along, please let Matt or me know in the comments below and I'll get the details to you. Club folks are more than welcome too! Come and spread your wings, chat to clothed people along the way - they're often chatty and keen to know what we're all about! Both of these hikes take in stunning scenery of the Waikato Plains and Hauraki Gulf.

As always, our events are clothing-optional. Your not forced to either be naked or to wear clothes - the choice is yours.
