PARAKAI NATURIST DAYS UPDATE
Hey everyone. Some of you may know that the Parakai Hot Springs pool complex is now under new management, Australian Company, Belgravia Leisure, is managing the pool complex in a partnership arrangement with the owners - Auckland Council and Te Poari o Kaipātiki ki Kaipara. It has been renamed Kaipātiki Hot Springs.
They are no longer having the bi-monthly Naturist Days, as the private pool area is being totally scrapped and rebuilt, starting in February. What happens after that is anyone's guess at this stage, but it appears that the venue is not going to be available for the foreseeable future - if ever.

It is interesting that the name kaipatiki is used elsewhere in Auckand, as in one of the local board areas in Greater Auckland and covers areas like Beach Haven, Birkenhead, Chatswood, Bayview, Birkdale, Northcote, Glenfield, Hillcrest, Totara Vale and Marlborough.
Maybe after they have finished the renovations/upgrades they are touting; we can make representations to have the naturist days restored. For me, they were a nice relaxing morning out.
