5th Annual World Naked Bike Ride – Waihi Beach

Join us for a landmark year as we celebrate the 5th Annual World Naked Bike Ride at beautiful Waihi Beach. This inclusive, community-focused event is open to everyone—from dedicated naturists and environmentalists to body-freedom advocates and those who simply love a great day out.  If you've already registered for this year's event, all good - otherwise head over to the website now and register HERE!

This is a clothing-optional event, open to all ages. Whether you choose to wear body paint with a message, your favorite accessories, or nothing at all, we invite you to participate at your own comfort level. Our goal is a light-hearted yet meaningful protest highlighting body positivity and the vulnerability of cyclists on our roads.

Event Highlights:

• Preparation Hour: Arrive early (10:30 a.m.) at the Waihi Beach Hotel carpark to meet fellow riders, decorate your bike, or apply body paint.

• The Ride: A casual, scenic 11km loop that begins and ends at the hotel. The pace is relaxed and suitable for all fitness levels.

• Après Cycle: After the ride, gather in the hotel’s garden bar for food, drinks, and great conversation to celebrate the day’s best spirits and messages.

• Unique Freedom: Our special arrangement with the hotel allows participants to remain clothes-free within the garden bar area.

• Hit the Surf: After lunch we head to the beach for a couple of hours of sun, sand and surf.  Waihi Beach access 34

• Naked Rave: For those who stay Saturday night at Katikati Naturist Park, boogie the night away to your favourite "guilty pleasures" songs!
