WINTER SOLSTICE - World Naked Hiking Day.
June 21st is Winter Solstice - the shortest day. Here on the Hauraki Plains sunrise will be at 7:31 am and sunset will be at 5:06 pm, making just 9 hours, 35 mins of daylight - plus about 30 minutes of useable twilight at each end of the day.
BUT - just because it's the shortest day doesn't mean it's the coldest day! Last year on Winter Solstice we went on a fantastic hike in the Hunua Ranges at Waharoa Regional Park and it was certainly warm enough to be naked the whole way!
So . . . Who's up for it again this year? And what sort of hike do you prefer - an easy flat walk, a decent challenge in hill country, or somewhere in between? Let me know in the comments who's keen.

That was a great experience, and thank you, Rokker, with your organization! I prefer an easy flat walk(due to the limitation of my knees caused by long uphill and downhill movements ) as you guys did in the Watipu Beach Range in West AKL.
